HOLE 3 - The holm oak
A par 4 that initially doesn't seem to present particular difficulties, but a grass bunker 180 meters from the tee and another two sand bunkers guarding the green make every shot delicate.
The green, over 400 square meters, has some slopes in the initial part that make it difficult to read. Towards the second bunker, positioned over 200 meters from the tee.
The holm oak (Quercus ilex)
Also known as "elce," it is widespread in countries around the Mediterranean basin.
It can grow up to 30 meters tall with a dense, evergreen, very dark canopy and a trunk that is rarely straight, either single or divided at the base. Rich in tannin, holm oak wood is very hard and difficult to work. It is especially used as a forest plant and for lining roads and parks.
